Michael Ogu

Michael Ogu (FLPI, FIMC, FIMS, CMC, CMS, ACIPM, MITD, MMCDI, ACIPM, SPHRi, PHRi, GPHR, GTML, SHRM–SCP, MCSP ) is the Partner leading the People and Organization Practice at Great Depths Consulting which comprises the Capacity Building & Training Services Department and the Consulting & Advisory Services Department.

He is a Certified, Accredited and Licensed Human Resources Professional, Talent Management Expert, Corporate Trainer & Facilitator and Management Consultant with multi–sector and multi–disciplinary work experience cutting across Manufacturing, Health Services, Capital Markets, Financial Services, Transport and Logistics Sectors of the Economy with core expertise that spans Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Transformations and Restructuring, Institutional Capacity Building, Talent Development, Performance and Competence Management, Employee Relations and Engagement, HR Service Delivery, Strategy Design and Execution, Organizational Design and Development, Culture and Change Management.

Michael also has competence and expertise in Corporate Strategy Design, Development and Execution, Business Analysis and Business Process Re–engineering.
Prior to working with Great Depths, he had previously worked with Medlog Transport and Logistics, Cordros Capital Limited, Healthcare International Nigeria Limited (HMO), Seven–Up Bottling Company Limited, Lead Synergy Limited, Oceanic Bank International Plc and Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc.

An alumnus of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and the University of Lagos, Akoka; he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Public and International Affairs. He is also an alumnus of the prestigious FATE Foundation having completed the Aspiring Entrepreneurs Programme (AEP) in 2009.
Michael is a Fellow of the Learning and Performance Institute, UK; a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, Nigeria; a Fellow of the Institute of Management Specialists, UK; an Associate Member of the
Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN), a Member of the Talent Management Institute, USA, a Member of the Society for Human Resource Management, USA (SHRM), a Member of the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources Association, Canada (CPHR, Canada), a Member, Nigerian Institute for Training & Development, a Member, Learning & Development Network International, a Member of the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) and also a Member, Mentoring & Career Development Institute of Nigeria. He holds multiple certifications, some of which are the Global Talent Management Leader (GTML) from the Talent Management Institute, USA, the Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institute, USA and the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM–SCP) from the Society for Human Resource Management, USA. A faculty member for academic and executive education programmes at Lagos Business School and also the Global President, Association of Elite Human Resources Professionals (AEHRP).
